いつも大変お世話になっております。

さて、この度、JCCI基金2024年度寄付先団体のEsplanade – Theatres on the Bayより、3月7日から29日にかけて、splanade Theatreにて、毎年開催されている子供に向けの「March On 2025」というフェスティバルを主催するとの連絡がありましたので、お知らせいたします。

JCCI基金は、本フェスティバルにおいて、14日～16日に上演予定の「ゴールドフィッシュ」（Goldfish）という舞台を支援しております。「ゴールドフィッシュ」は、オーストラリアの人形劇団テラピン（Terrapin）と日本のアーティスト鳴海康平氏および佐々木文美氏のコラボレーションによって創作されたダイナミックなパフォーマンスです。本パフォーマンスは、災害が増え続ける時代において、人々と劇場が果たすべき役割を問いかける舞台です。物語の中で、普通の物が予想外の形に変わり、青いブルーシートが海になり、缶詰が壁となり、米袋が上昇する水を止める役目を果たします。劇は、災害の中で人間たちがどのように立ち向かい、劇場がその過程でどのように意味を持つのかを探求します。

Created by Terrapin in collaboration with Japanese artists Kouhei Narumi and Ayami Sasaki, don’t miss this dynamic, inventive performance which blends stunning set design with imaginative puppetry!

A solo puppeteer spins a fable for children and their families. We hear a story of people who get rid of time: no night, no day. This creates a flood, devastating the land. But when two disaster recovery workers suddenly burst into the theatre, fiction becomes fact and a new story demands to be told.

Amid the turmoil, ordinary objects transform into something entirely unexpected and new—a blue tarp becomes the ocean, canned food turns into walls, and rice bags hold back the rising water. As the scenario unfolds, we begin to ask: what role should humanity, and the theatre, play in times of increasing disaster? And will a goldfish need to save us all?
