Field Management Service for Singapore’s Changi Airport
The Engineering and Development Group (EDG) of Changi Airport Group manages Singapore’s Changi Airport, handling over 62.2 million passengers annually and 7200 flights weekly. EDG’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement the airport’s master plans, covering everything from engineering management to specialized systems for airfield lighting, passenger loading bridges, baggage handling, and sky trains. EDG faced challenges in managing high volumes of duty rosters, especially for after-hours tasks, using manual methods like excel spreadsheets and hardcopy on noticeboards.
To address their needs, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Singapore introduced the Engager Solution, a customizable, user-friendly, cloud-based system to improve field service management. This solution allowed real-time monitoring of duty rosters, reducing challenges for engineers, administrators, and Fault Management Centre personnel. The Engager Solution streamlined duty roster allocation, making it easier for administrators and ensuring traceable duty swaps with instant notifications. It also reduced the administrator’s workload from a full day to three to four hours and cut report generation time from over an hour to five minutes. Overall processing times were cut from more than eight hours to less than two, eliminating human error. The solution received positive feedback from users, highlighting its effectiveness and efficiency. It ultimately contributed to higher customer satisfaction and profitability for Changi Airport Group.
